Google AdSense: Pitfalls and Alternatives

Google AdSense, since its launch in mid-2003, has been a boon to web-publishers world-wide, allowing them to display a wide-array of advertisements that are relevant to the content of the site.

And for each click on the advertisement made by a visitor, the web-publisher is suitably compensated - from $0.01 to $1.00 and more per click. Several web-publishers have joined this bandwagon and there are many individuals earning from $1000 to $5000/month, with the exceptional ones pulling in $15,000-$40,000/month.

There are many good information sites about succeeding with Google Adsense on the web, and some excellent forums (webmasterworld.com, digitalpoint.com to name the best).

There are however some open issues with Google AdSense:

1. Click Fraud: Click Fraud occurs when some web-publisher fraudulently clicks on advertisements displayed on his or her own web-site, or automates this clicking process through a software program. Because of the increasing prevalence of this type of fraud, Google has become stricter - and has inadvertently kicked some legitimate web-publishers out of this program.

2. Ad Blocking: Some offices and similar work-environments are now actively blocking Google AdSense advertisements from showing on their browsers. Google has responded with server side publishing of ads for some large web-publishers. It is too early to tell if this trend of Ad Blocking will rise and seriously affect the number of impressions of Google Ads and corresponding income potential for web-publishers.

3. Poor Quality Websites: Owing to the low barrier of entry for web-publishers to display AdSense advertisements, several poor quality websites now freely display Google ads. This does not always please the advertisers, especially if their advertisements show up on adult or hate sites. The complaints have been consistent, but so far no particular action has been taken to raise the barrier to entry. This may happen in the future.

Of these, click fraud remains the largest, imminent issue facing Google AdSense, and the possibility for any web-publisher to be effectively barred from participation remains the biggest single point of failure for this system. Fortunately, alternatives do exist for web-publishers.

1. Yahoo! Publisher Network - Yahoo! has introduced its own equivalent program for web-publishers, the Yahoo! Publisher Network. This program is still young but maturing rapidly. You can participate in both the Yahoo! and Google programs simultaneously if you get approved for both.

2. If you have a reasonable amount of traffic and page views already, then ad-brokers such as BurstMedia, FastClick (now merged with ValuClick), Chitika, Kanoodle, AdBrite and so forth are available for displaying advertisements.

3. CPM (Cost per Thousand Impressions) models of advertising with banner ads, or page sponsorships continue to play a significant role in the web-publisher's world.

4. If you are careful to collect e-mail addresses from visitors and develop a weekly e-zine, e-zine advertising remains a good option (once you have more than 1000 members on the list)

5. Affiliateships remain an important threat to Google AdSense. Well-written content on a website often brings good return traffic. However, this traffic is often interested in reading the content, rather than clicking on an advertisement. The content on the site is now acting effectively like an affiliate for the ads that do show up on the site. But real affiliateships pay much more than what a Google AdSense advertisement would. Google is becoming more sensitive to this by also tracking the conversion rate from a given website, and may potentially start serving higher paying, higher quality ads at those sites.

Thus, as a web-publisher and a smart business-person, do not rely on only one source of income, even if you follow an advertisement model. Keep the doors open to multiple sources of income.

Google Adsense - The Easiest Way To Make Money Online

Do you know that the easiest way to make money online now is to use Google Adsense? Google Adsense is like a pay-per-click advertising avenue, only that the generated pay-per-click revenue goes to you for putting up the Google Adsense Ads on your website pages.

For the last couple of months, Google Adsense has dominated forums, discussions and newsletters all over the Internet. Already, there are tales of fabulous riches to be made and millions made by those who are just working from home. It seems that Google Adsense have already dominated the internet marketing business and is now considered the easiest way to make money online.

The key to success to make money with Google Adsense is the placing of ads on pages that are receiving high traffic for high demand keywords. The higher the cost-per-click to the advertiser, the more you will receive per click from your site. Obviously, it does not pay to target low cost-per-click keywords and place them on pages that do not receive hits.

With all the people getting online and clicking away everyday, it is no wonder why Google Adsense has become an instant hit.

For some who are just new to this market, it would be a blow to their pride knowing that their homepage is buried somewhere in the little ads promoting other people's services. But then, when they get the idea that they are actually earning more money that way, all doubts and skepticism is laid to rest.

There are two major, and clever, factors that some successful webmaster and publishers are learning to blend together in order to make money easier using Adsense.

1. Targeting high traffic pages on your website. If you check on your logs, you will discover that many of your visitors are taking advantage of the free affiliate marketing resources and ebooks that you are offering on your site. In simple words, your ads are working effectively and are generating more clicks. It also means more money for you.

2. Placing Adsense links on pages that are producing little, or better yet, no profit. By placing Adsense on a free resources page, you will reduce the amount of potential customers being lost to other sites. Tricky, but effective nonetheless.

When learned to work effectively, these two factors are actually a good source of producing a minimal amount of revenue from a high traffic page. Many people are using this strategy to pick up some extra and cash with Adsense. This is also especially rewarding to informational sites that focus their efforts on delivering powerful affiliate link free content to their visitors. Now they can gain a monetary return on their services.

With the many techniques that people are now learning on how to make the easiest money by their Adsense, it is not surprising that Google is trying everything to update and polish their Adsense in order to maintain their good image.

The possibility of adding is 2nd tier in Adsense is not impossible. With all the people spending more time in their Adsense now and still more getting into this line of marketing, there is no doubt about the many new improvements yet to be made. Imagine the smiles on the faces of the webmasters and publishers all around the world if ever they sign up for sub-affiliates and double or even triple the amount that they are already earning.

The one particularly handy money-making feature that is available with Adsense now is the ability to filter out up to 200 urls. These gives webmasters the option to block out low value offers from their pages as well as competitors to their websites. Talk about taking only those that are advantageous and discarding the ones that seem "useless".

With Google Adsense, the possibilities are limitless. Yet there is also the possibility of someone taking advantage of the easy money process that this internet marketing is doing. If you think more about it, these negative factors may force Google to break down and thrash Adsense in the process. If that happens, people would have to go back to the old ways of internet marketing that does not make money online as easy as Adsense.

For now, however, Google Adsense is here to stay. As long as there are people wanting to earn some easy cash online just using their talents, the future ahead is looking good. Besides with all the strict guidelines that Google is enforcing over Adsense, it will take awhile for the Adsense privileges to be spammed and even terminated.

Google Adsense - How To Improve Your Google Adsense Earnings

Google AdSense is a powerful program, but it is important to plan carefully when implementing an online advertising strategy. This article tells you "How To Increase Your Google AdSense Earnings".

To many beginning website owners, the Google AdSense program can seem like a program for free money, but in fact earning money from hosting ads take planning, patience, and lots of hard work. While it is possible to earn a very good living from hosting AdSense ads, the truth is that most people do not use the program to its maximum potential. What separates those few top earners from all the rest is knowledge, and it is important to gather plenty of information to improve your Google Adsense earnings.

If webmasters want to monetize their websites, the great way to do it is through Google Adsense. There are lots of webmasters struggling hard to earn some good money a day through their sites. But then some of the "geniuses" of them are enjoying hundreds of dollars a day from Google Adsense ads on their websites. What makes these webmasters different from the other kind is that they are different and they think out of the box.

The ones who have been there and done it have quite some useful tips to help those who would want to venture into this field. Some of these tips have boosted quite a lot of earnings in the past and is continuously doing so.

Here are some 5 proven ways on how best to improve your Google Adsense earnings.

1. Concentrating on one format of Google Adsense ad. The one format that worked well for the majority is the Large Rectangle (336X280). This same format has the tendency to result in higher CTR, or the click-through rates. Why choose this format out of the many you can use? Basically because the ads will look like normal web links, and people, being used to clicking on them, click these types of links. They may or may not know they are clicking on your Google Adsense ads but as long as there are clicks, then it will all be for your advantage.

2. Create a custom palette for your Google Adsense ads. Choose a color that will go well with the background of your site. If your site has a white background, try to use white as the color of your ad border and background. The idea to patterning the colors is to make the Adsense look like it is part of the web pages. Again, this will result to more clicks from people visiting your site.

3. Remove the Google Adsense from the bottom pages of your site and put them at the top. Do not try to hide your Google Adsense. Put them in the place where people can see them quickly. You will be amazed how the difference between Google Adsense locations can make when you see your earnings.

4. Maintain links to relevant websites. If you think some sites are better off than the others, put your ads there and try to maintaining and managing them. If there is already lots of Google Adsense put into that certain site, put yours on top of all of them. That way visitor will see your ads first upon browsing into that site.

5. Try to automate the insertion of your Google Adsense code into the webpages using SSI (or server side included). Ask your web administrator if your server supports SSI or not. How do you do it? Just save your Google Adsense code in a text file, save it as "adsense text", and upload it to the root directory of the web server. Then using SSI, call the code on other pages. This tip is a time saver especially for those who are using automatic page generators to generate pages on their website.

These are some of the tips that have worked well for some who want to generate hundreds and even thousands on their websites. It is important to know though that ads are displayed because it fits the interest of the people viewing them. So focusing on a specific topic should be your primary purpose because the displays will be especially targeted on a topic that persons will be viewing already.

Note also that there are many other Google Adsense sharing the same topic as you. It is best to think of making a good ad that will be somewhat different and unique than the ones already done. Every click through that visitors make is a point for you so make every click count by making your Google Adsense something that people will definitely click on.

Tips given by those who have boosted their earnings are just guidelines they want to share with others. If they have somehow worked wonders to some, maybe it can work wonders for you too. Try them out into your ads and see the result it will bring.

If others have done it, there is nothing wrong trying it out for yourself.

Google AdSense: How To Make Easy Money With Google Adsense

Some people think that making money with Google Adsense is hard; but in fact, it is quite the opposite. Setting up Google ads on your site is simple, and you can earn from it rather quickly.

First of all, Google Adsense is a program that welcomes any webmaster or blogger to sign up for free, and display Google ads on their site or blog.

Marketers and companies are paying Google every time someone clicks on their ad, whether it be from Google itself, or from a participating website or blog.

This is called "Pay Per Click Advertising" and it is one of the most popular forms of advertising nowadays. It is more important to have a Google or Yahoo listing these days than it is to be in the Yellow Pages. This is because the internet is more accessible and convenient for more people searching to satisfy their needs.

Companies or webmasters pay to show up (in the Google search engine) for certain keywords or keyword phrases such as "lose weight" or "make money." They have to place a maximum bid, which is the maximum amount of money they are willing to pay for one click.

When someone does a Google search for a keyword, their ad spot shows up if they bid on that keyword. If the surfer or visitor clicks on their ad, the company or webmaster must then pay Google for the click.

Companies are bidding against each other for top listings. For popular niches, each click can be costly. That is why it is so lucrative to make money with Google adsense.

When you venture out to make money with Google Adsense, you must keep in mind that there is no adult-related materials allowed (such as pornography or racist) or offensive materials of any kind. There may be a few other restrictions regarding online gambling and other related activities.

But for the most part, it is very easy to make money with Google Adsense. Many people earn a full time income from it alone. More and more bloggers are becoming famous - and rich - due to the money they make from Google ads placed on their blogs.

In order to make money with Google Adsense, you must have a website or a blog. The difference between the two is trivial. They are both 'websites' - your own website costs a small amount of money for the domain name and hosting. Your blog can be free, or it can cost you a little money too if you're going to get a domain and host for it. Let me explain...

A blog will give you your own domain name, but it will have the blog company's name in the URL as well. For instance, if it's a free blog from Blogger.com, it would be something like: YourBlogName.blogspot.com. Of course, you would replace 'YourBlogName' with whatever you want your blog’s web address to be.

If you are in the weight loss niche, your blog URL might be something like, "LoseWeightFast.Blogspot.com." If you want your own personal and brandable domain name (YourDomainName.com or YourDomainName.com/blog), it only costs about $8-$10 for a .COM domain name and around that same amount for a hosting account.

My suggestion is to upload your blog to your own host and give it a domain name representing your company or profile. It only costs a little more per month, but it’ll give your blog a more professional image; hence, building your reputation.

Once you sign up for a free account with Google Adsense, you can start displaying ads on your site within minutes. You don't need to have a super popular site with millions of viewers in order for Google to do business with you, like what some people might think.

Anybody with a website or blog can sign up for a free Google Adsense account. They give you the HTML code for you to copy and paste in your website, so that ads related to your content will automatically show up on your site/blog wherever you want them to be displayed.

As far as monetizing your site with Google adsense, it doesn't matter whether you are using a free blog or a paid one (with domain name and hosting). As long as you can drive traffic to the site, you are in good shape.

That is the name of the game by the way - driving web traffic to your site/blog. Once you have a website or blog up in the niche that you want to market to, and have added some useful content to it, you can then place some Google Adsense ads on your site and earn a decent income by driving traffic to it.

You may use Pay-Per-Click Advertising for your own sites, online classified ad sites, article marketing, press releases, video marketing, social network marketing, and other methods to generate traffic. By the way, search engines love blogs; so as long as you post beneficial and keyword-optimized content on your blog, the search engines will find it.

To recap, here are the steps:

Create a website or start a blog, sign up for a free account with Google Adsense, and place the ad code on your site. Then, advertise your website or blog using various techniques of getting traffic and exposure.

These are just the basics for learning how to make money with Google Adsense. I hope you have a much better idea of how it works and what you need to do to get started.

You can make money with Google Adsense in a multitude of ways, and it costs little to nothing to get started. You can start earning money within hours of launching your site or blog, so just do it!

How To Make Google Adsense Program

Google Adsense, used as intended can provide solid, substantial income to web master who are willing to publish according to guidelines laid down by Google.

In order to make a program such as Google Adsense work effectively, it has to present something innovative or it has to perform existing methods in a more effective way. Google actually accomplished both goals when it set out to promote Adsense. The concept was fairly new, although built on the general work of the Word Net, Simply and Applied Semantics programs as well as by extensive development work by Brown University personnel. Google's program also took the idea of advertising in media and made it work for the internet. Those who use the program continually find new ways to make it even more profitable.

The bad guys

Early in the history of Google Adsense, it received some negative publicity from two quarters. First was the group who said it would never work and who pooh-poohed the idea of people paying to read an ad. Strictly speaking though, people pay to read or watch or listen to ads all the time in almost any media you can name. For more details go to www.guardadsense.com. The second groups of people are the ones that actually caused the most problem. They saw in the program only ways to twist it to make more money for themselves, instead of using it as it was intended. However, Google aggressively went after and shut down the web sites that were created only for the purpose of gaining revenue on the clicks, rather than on the content.

Content is king

Google Adsense administrators took the view, and rightfully so, that a web site with no useful content will only give all advertising a bad image. Unfortunately, in the course of getting rid of the publishers who did not comply with the publishing guidelines set forth by Google, a few of the good guys got lost in the shuffle too. Google allowed such publishers to present their point of view and most were reinstated.

Associated Services

Along with Google Adsense, savvy web masters have found ways to use its associated services in ways that increase revenue potential even higher. For example, learning the value of various keywords is possible with some current software programs. When you create websites to take advantage of much used keywords, you have a better chance of increasing your revenue. For more information login to www.googleadsense-empire.com. You can build up sites for other web marketers and sell or lease the domain names or your abilities as an organizer. Creating synonyms for keywords is a faculty used in some software available on the internet.

Potential

The potential for income is sky high for those who are willing to take concepts of internet marketing and apply them to Google Adsense. In the fact, though receipt of income depends on being canny about understanding and using the principles of publishing ads under the Google program. Depend upon good, strong content rather than tricks and short cuts. Your visitors and customers expect true value received, not hints, hot air and weasel words. Take advantage of the wealth of advice available from those who had made the program work for them.

There are two major, and clever, factors that some successful webmaster and publishers are learning to blend together in order to make money easier using Adsense.

1. Placing Adsense links on pages that are producing little, or better yet, no profit. By placing Adsense on a free resources page, you will reduce the amount of potential customers being lost to other sites. Tricky, but effective nonetheless.

2. Targeting high traffic pages on your website. If you check on your logs, you will discover that many of your visitors are taking advantage of the free affiliate marketing resources and ebooks that you are offering on your site. In simple words, your ads are working effectively and are generating more clicks. It also means more money for you.

When learned to work effectively, these two factors are actually a good source of producing a minimal amount of revenue from a high traffic page. Many people are using this strategy to pick up some extra and cash with Adsense earnings. This is also especially rewarding to informational sites that focus their efforts on delivering powerful affiliate link free content to their visitors. Now they can gain a monetary return on their services.

The possibility of adding is 2nd tier in Adsense earnings is not impossible. With all the people spending more time in their Adsense now and still more getting into this line of marketing, there is no doubt about the many new improvements yet to be made.. Imagine the smiles on the faces of the webmasters and publishers all around the world if ever they sign up for sub-affiliates and double or even triple the amount that they are already earning.

The one particularly handy money-making feature that is available with Adsense now is the ability to filter out up to 200 burls. These gives webmasters the option to block out low value offers from their pages as well as competitors to their websites. Talk about taking only those that are advantageous and discarding the ones that seem “useless”.

With the many techniques that people are now learning on how to make the easiest money by their Adsense, it is not surprising that Google is trying everything to update and polish their Adsense in order to maintain their good image.

Google Adsense Checklist: Discover The Likes & Dislikes Of The Googlebot

Get on Googlebot's wrong side and you and your Adsense websites will be sorry. This article will reveal the likes and dislikes of the Googlebot plus show you how to make even more money with the highest paying Adsense keywords. AdSense is the name of an advertising service that is administered by Google. It allows webmasters to feature advertising on their websites, and thus generate extra income. Payments are made on the basis of either per click or per every thousand impressions. Geographical location, website content, and other related factors are used by Google to determine which Adsense ads to serve. The sites wanting to be advertised are able to sign up through a Google program called AdWords. You've probably heard a lot about Google AdSense (which is actually more accurately known as Google AdSense V1), but you may not know just what it is. Well, for one thing, it's a one of the hottest new ways to make money online without having to do a whole lot. If you've read Robert Kiyosaki's book, "Rich Dad, Poor Dad," you know that passive income is the best kind of income to have. Passive income is income that you get without having to work for it. I know this may sound like some kind of "pie in the sky" get-rich-quick scheme, but passive income is for real. In fact, every single billionaire on earth uses the power of passive income to keep money coming in while he or she jets off to parties and resorts and such. What's a Googlebot? It's one of the little web-searching spiders (automated) that I t
alked about in the last section. And these spiders have definite preferences, so you want to make sure your content is good spider food. Spiders like: Neat code-less lines of code than lines of text (or more lines of text than lines of codes.); Normal keyword densities of 3-7%.Lots of backlinks on pages that link back to your home page; (Top sites have an average of 300 backlinks.); Original content not found anywhere else.Quick downloads of sites, which means not a lot of dynamic URLS to other sites; Site maps; ALT Tabs for images; Link partners who are contextually relevant to your page (i.e., if your page is about buying real estate, links might about be how to get loans, how to prospect for deals, how to start a corporation but not about pet gerbils, latest fashions, or cell phones.); New content every time the spider comes to check up on your site. Spiders do not like: More lines of code than text; Nested tables; Super-high keyword densities, which they call "keyword stuffing"; "Doorway pages" that act as a portal and which just happen to have super-high keyword densities; Too many backlinks to your home page from within your domain; Duplicate content from another site-regardless of who stole what from whom; Lots of dynamic URLs that cause a site to take forever to download; Repeating the exact same words in your linking text, which the spider will interpret as automated link swapping; (Interestingly, it's fine for the spiders to be fully automated, but they hate it when we do that!); Stale content that never changes. Now that you know how to please the GoogleBot are you ready to start making money with Adsense?

First, excitement breeds excitement. Get excited about your new venture and others will too. Learn everything you can about the Google Adsense program, not only will this increase your earnings, but you will be better equipped to explain the mechanics of the program to others. Show them the money. There's nothing like a little proof to make a believer out of someone. You do not have to wait until you're making thousands per month, although that's a healthy goal. But even a small deposit in your piggy bank is enough to intrigue most people. Can't you just count those referrals now? Google Adsense: Dos for Using the Google Adsense Program Google Adsense is a fun and easy way to make extra money. It's important to follow the rules though as Google is serious about the integrity of this program. Not following the rules could result in your Google Adsense account being terminated. Here are a few Dos for using the program: DO Read the Terms and Conditions and Program Policies thoroughly. Read everything you can about Google Adsense. Learn from other's experiences and mistakes. Learn how to optimize your site for the most enjoyable and profitable Google Adsense experience. Realize it does take so
me time and hard work. That's why it is so important that you write about something you care about. Hard work is even harder if you do not like what you are doing. Visit other sites that are benefiting from Google Adsense. Click on the ads only if you are truly interested in the product or service being advertised. Read other people's blogs and comment on them. Only offer a comment though if it is truly sincere. Hopefully, these helpful tips will ease you into using the program and help you avoid mistakes that could possibly cost you a lot of time or money. Making Money with Articles: Letting Others Use Your Articles Let others use your articles, along with your byline which will tell visitors who wrote it and how they can contact you, on their website. This will help to promote your own website and bring you in traffic through the search engine optimization and promotional efforts of others. For you this means absolutely free marketing just for writing a quick article about a subject that you are already familiar with. The more people who use your article as content as their website, the more potential traffic you will receive. These webmasters will probably be using SEO techniques, banner exchanges, and possibly even a Pay-Per-Click campaign to get visitors to their affiliate site. These are advertising methods that either take a lot of time or a lot of money and they will be absolutely free for you just because you placed your articles where others could use them. There are many places on the Internet that offer to post your article so that others may view and/or use it. My advice is to place your articles on every single one of these sites so that you can reach as many webmasters as possible.

Google Adsense: How to Apply for the Program and Important Info on Paying Taxes

Nowadays, more and more people are starting their own websites or blogs. Whilst it is relatively inexpensive, with thousands of cheap hosting companies to be found, it seems a waste not to put your site to work properly for you and earn some proper cash from it Applying for a Google AdSense account is quick and easy for any interested webmaster. Just point your browser to google.com and click on apply. Click on the drop down arrow under account type and select individual or business. If you are not sure which to choose, simply click on the question mark to the left. Next, select your country or territory. Under website information, you are asked to insert your primary URL. If you have your own website, list it here e.g. yoursite.com. If you are using a blogging site such as blogger.com your blog URL goes here. Now you need to select your website`s primary language. Google AdSense supports Chinese (simplified), Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish (so there's just about something for everyone!) Next you should select the product you want on your pages. AdSense for Content means you will have advertising targeted to the content on your pages. For example, if your website or blog is about wooden garden fencing, you might have fencing ads on your page. AdSense for Search allows you to add a Google search box to your pages (see example below). To maximize your Go
ogle AdSense earnings, I would advise you to have both. You just need to complete the usual contact information and you`re done. You should receive an email within two or three days informing you whether your application has been approved. N.B. Many of you may have bought or acquired ready to go websites that include a Google AdSense version and a non-Google AdSense version, my advice would be to upload the non-Google AdSense version first and then use this to apply for AdSense. When Google check out your site for approval it could hamper your chances of being accepted if you have Google AdSense coding already on your site. Do I Have to Pay Taxes on My Google AdSense Earnings? Google Adsense is required by law to collect tax information from those who participate in the program. If you are a business, you will be asked to insert your EIN number on your application. If you are an individual, you will be required to insert your social security number. If you do not have this information when you initially sign up you can still apply for the Google AdSense program. However, Google AdSense will withhold payments to you until they receive the required information. While Google does not withhold taxes or provide any tax advice, they will send you a 1099 once your earnings reach a certain figure. Of course, if you are a Non-US business and have no business activity in the United States, you will not need to provide this information. For further tax information regarding the Google AdSense program, visit the Google AdSense Support site. For other tax-related questions or concerns, you can log onto irs.gov

Earn Money with Google Adsense and Wordpress

If you have a business in online marketing using Google Adsense and affiliate marketing then you should consider using Wordpress as a basis for your site. Wordpress is a blogging platform that can also be used as a Content Management System (CMS). Getting content online with Wordpress is quick and easy, and managing your content is a breeze. Wordpress has an administration panel known as 'dashboard' which allows you to write and manage posts and pages in a simple wordprocessor like fashion. Dashboard also allows you to manage categories and all other aspects of your site. The really great thing about using Wordpress as a basis for your adsense website is how customizable it is. Many thousands of different templates (or 'themes') are freely available to Wordpress users, and many of these include adsense blocks in optimal positions for maximizing your clickthrough rate. This means that creating an adsense website can be as simple as uploading a adsense ready theme to your server. This leaves you with more free time to concentrate on writing quality content for your website! Some Wordpress themes that include adsense ad units and link units are also Search Engine Optimi
zed (SEO), which means that the pages of your site are constructed in the best way possible for search engine spiders, and also the pages are interlinked in such a way as to ensure the search engines can reach all pages of your site in the correct manner. Wordpress also 'pings' many services for you through pingomatic each time you create a new post. This alerts the search engines to the fact that you have created new content and tells them to send the search engine spiders out to index your site. RSS feeds and sitemaps can also be generated automatically. As Wordpress is a blogging platform it has built in functionality to allow visitors to your site to comment on the articles you write. This is great as it encourages user interaction and site 'stickyness'. Another often overlooked advantage to this is that your readers are creating more content on your website each time they leave a comment! Thousands of 'plugins' are available for Wordpress - plugins bring extra functions to your site and are quick and easy to install. One super-useful plugin for affiliate marketers automatically turns words into links. It is easy to create a list of affiliate links and words that you would like them associated to. Wordpress is the adsense and affiliate webmasters best friend!

Where’s the best place to put Google Adsense Ads?

By: ILA BHATT

Why, on your web pages of course. Ok, just kidding. The real question should be: “Is there really any truth to the rumors that where you place those Google AdSense ads can actually improve response?” According to my best information, the answer to that question is: Yes.

Google’s own AdSense experts say that that there is a direct correlation between the placement of the AdSense ads and the resulting clickthrough.

When ads are placed in “content zones”, rather than in “advertising zones”, response rates on Google AdWords goes up. There are also indications showing that ads appearing on the right side of the page get clicked more than ads appearing on the left side.

Advertising analysts with degrees in human behavior and psychology have spent thousands of man-years (people-years?) studying how people read printed and Internet content and what it takes to get them to respond to ads. While some of these studies are proprietary, or are only available to anyone with $10,000 or more to spend on a copy, other studies have been made public and can be read by anyone who is interested.

Google themselves has released some relevant information which is focused directly on increasing your Google AdSense response. You can read their findings here (https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/static.py?page=tips.html).

Of course, all of the studies in the world aren’t worth a hill of beans if the findings don’t work on your web site. That’s why it is important to test, test and test again. Experiment with your Google AdSense placement and track the results over a period of time. Google provides response tracking tools in your AdSense control panel. Learn how to use them. As you begin to see what may be only subtle differences in response, you’ll be able to determine what works best for your particular site. But don’t get complacent. What’s working for you now might not work next month if you change your site design or content.

One of the most important factors in determining placement of your ads is the type of content that your site delivers. If you are primarily an e-commerce site, and you have a lot of pictures and ad copy for your own products competing for attention against AdSense ads, then it is going to be a particularly tough challenge getting any kind of decent Google AdSense clickthrough. It is situations like this that require very thorough testing and a lot of trial and error.

Blogs seem to have a lot of success generating high response rates to Google AdSense listings. Perhaps it’s because blog readers realize that ad revenue is the only way that their favorite blogmaster can keep the lights on, so the readers think of clicking on ads as a way to make a donation.

Regardless of what the experts say, your best bet is to tailor your Google AdSense ad placement to what your own experience shows works best for you. In the end, you’re the only expert who matters.

Use Google Adsense to generate website income

By: bhatti4505

The darkest nightmare a hardworking affiliate webmaster fears is receiving a dreaded Google Adsense Warning, or even worse, a notice that Google Adsense has been disabled for the entire account.

The notice starts out like this:-it has come to our attention that invalid clicks have been generated on the ads on your web pages. We have therefore disabled your Google Adsense account. Please understand that this step was taken in an effort to protect the interest of the AdWords advertisers."
Some webmasters use Google Adsense to generate 100% of their website income and the account may hold many different websites. In that case, every website is disabled at one time. An automatic disqualification can be devastating, especially when Google has no obligation to explain its decision in detail. Advertisements can cost a good amount of money, especially for popular blogs, if a company is able to secure such a space, it can benefit from the publicity, and you, moreover, can benefit from the advertising fees that you set but blogs aren’t the only way to make money online. Go to www.guardadsense.com You could open an online store. You could sell things on eBay. EBay is the world's most popular auction site, with thousands of users buying, selling, and trading every conceivable item every day.
Not only does the account become disabled, but also existing click-through earnings are refunded back to the advertisers.
Life gets tough, but is it that easy to get an account banned? Yes it is.
The terms of service every Google Adsense Webmaster accepts, describes the easy do's and don'ts.
Do use the Adsense approved formats only
Do keep your click-through data and income private.
Don't display Adsense on registration or thank you pages.
Don't use Adsense code and a competitor's content-targeted advertisement on the same page.
The easiest method an account can be banned is by a Webmaster clicking on the site's own ads.
Just how many click-throughs are needed to get a site banned isn't exposed, but Google Adsense watches for multiple clicks from the same domain. One person was banned who clicked twice from the same domain within a 24-hour period. That doesn't mean that is Adsense policy, because Adsense appears to place suspect sites on watch status until the action is duplicated.
Spikes in click-through percentages are hefty red flags. Those are the changes worth becoming proactive over by emailing Google Adsense can visit www.youradsenseprofits.com A site that rises from a consistent 1% click-through rate to a 10% click-through rate on one day could become suspect. The actual percentage that creates the flag isn't made public for obvious reasons.
What's the safest way to protect an account?
Don't click on the site's own ads ever.

How to increase Google Adsense CTR

By: Prince Sealopal

We all get one common question - How to increase Google Adsense CTR. What ever webiste we have and we might also be getting a good traffic but still not making money because of less clicks or in other words less CTR.

Hence, our motive is to increase CTR to the best as to acheive a good profit. There are many ways of increasing CTR by placing the google ads on different locations with the various sizes. Yes, this might work - I dont deny it. For example if you place ad on the web page which is totally different color than the web page then you CTR might go low.

First of all you web page should look attractive and the ads should look like the part of the web page. Even size plays an important role - just dont generate some size and apply on your page...please imagine your webisite page as a normal visitor who will be looking for an targetted content for his solution and suddently noticing a big ad....this is not preferred.

Adjust the ads size as per the size of the page and the size of content. May be in some places you may have to place a small ad and in some places big banner ads. Usually, big size ads work much with image ads and small size ads with text ads.

Let us discuss more on this topic. You might have come accross many of them saying Keywords, optimization, ranking, links, etc., etc. But what optimization means.....this is a non-stop discussion. However, as per the dictionary Optimization means "to make the best use of a situation or resource"

Please note for good CTR the most important material is content and rich targetted content. You really need to gather and write a good and demanding content. You need to write the content for kind of visitors you are looking for. If a visitor looking for marketing tips lands to your website page which which is about Interview tips then either he might simply close the page or hardly he may click your ads since the ads will be relating to Interview and Jobs.

Anyways, coming back to our topic - when you have written the targetted good content now you need to decide on a targetted and unique keyword. I know unique key is little difficult but try to use the targetted keywords. In other words content and ads are related. Even keyword also should be related to ads and content of page which means if a visitor is looking for the keyword "Affiliate Marketing" and your content/page is about Affiliate Marketing and the ads also shown about affiliate marketing then there is a good chances of reading the topic/article of your webpage and alternatively there are high chances of clicking the google ads as there may be a related

AdSense Click Data Into Google Analytics-00-877

By: lori

Below are some of the AdSense Data factors that can be tracked via Google Analytics:

1. The number of times AdSense ads were clicked on any given web page.
2. AdSense revenue generated per page for clicks mentioned in #1.
3. You’ll also know the CTR and CPM for all web pages - no need to create individual URL channels in your AdSense dashboard.
4. "Top AdSense Referrers" is the most interesting report as it helps you know about revenue made per referring websites.

“Let’s take an example. Assume two sites - digg.com and cnn.com - have linked to a page on your website and are sending some referral traffic. Now Analytics will tell you exactly how much AdSense revenue you are making through traffic from each of these sites. This report has enormous potential as it lends a "measurable" value to each incoming link. Some sites could even use this as a replacement for affiliate programs.”

Google Adsense: The Money Maker

If ever you felt you need more money to augment your current income, Google Adsense is your answer. To be sure, simply displaying Google Adsense ads in your website will not fetch you cash. Of course you need a website, preferably one that concerns a fair amount of populace, but that is just the beginning. It is important that you strive hard to bring sizable traffic to your site.
What is Google Adsense?
Briefly, Google Adsense is all about display of Adwords ads on content sites that are part of Google network. In effect, two things happen in conjunction with one another. First, PPC (pay per click) advertisers using Adwords ad campaign have to opt for placement of their ads in content sites (the other option is search sites). Second, individual website owners must enroll with Google to qualify for displaying Adwords ads.
Google Adsense is thus an interface whereby enrolled web publishers agree to place Google Adwords ads on their websites in return for revenue that results when those ads are clicked on. In other words, the money so collected by Google from Adwords advertisers is shared between Google itself and website owners where the clicks have occurred. Google Adsense is therefore a win-win situation for both parties at no additional cost to website owners.
Let us now explore how you can maximize your earning through Google Adsense.
How to present your Google Adsense ads
For an answer, we will turn to Google Adsense help center [https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/static.py?page=tips.html#17954]. There is a pictorial presentation, called 'heat map', that elucidates ideal places for locating Google Adsense ads. In short, here are main points to consider:
- Ads appearing above the fold tend to perform better.
- Place ads directly above (the hottest place) and below content.
- Place ads as close to content and navigational pane, left side being more preferable.
- Place Google Adsense ads on content pages, if not on all pages of your website.
- Combine multiple ad units on every content page, focusing specially on rectangular boxes and skyscrapers and even link units, the latter in case of space constraint.

- A big advantage with Google Adsense ads is that you can use any color combination to display the ads. Experts suggest it is better to merge ad background with background color of your webpage. Further, consider using same color for text and link as that of your webpage.
Maximize gain with Google Adsense ads
Like any money-making venture, you have to work incessantly to maximize your earnings from Google Adsense ads. After you have ensured proper appearance of Google Adsense ads on your webpage, the next thing to consider is organizing the ads in such a way that viewers are enticed to click on them. The main issue here is theme (or shall we say 'niche') of your content page and that of Google Adsense ads must coincide. For example, if the content page relates to the niche 'traveling in Himalayas', the Google Adsense ads shown need to center around this niche.
But all niches may not be popular. Therefore the trick is to discover those niche keywords that people frequently search for. There are many free and paid tools in the market that let you unravel popular search terms. None is more elaborate and helpful than the Adwords Keyword Tool. When you use the tool, try to dig out your niche keywords and build keyword-enriched content pages. Google Adsense ads appearing in those content pages are likely to be more successful in terms of visitors' inclination to click on them.
Adsense - Google's bounty
There are many tales that do the rounds as to how much Google Adsense will fetch you. A recent story (Google's hidden payroll, USAToday.com, March 28, 2006) cites quite a few examples of more than thousand dollars income per month through Google Adsense. Google itself flaunts success stories [https://www.google.com/adsense/success] aimed at new publishers. Be that as it may, there is no doubt that web publishers can indeed reap rich bonanza with Google Adsense.

Google Adsense Empire

You have probably heard of people making thousands of dollars a month or even a day using Google Adsense alone. You even have built a website and stuffed it with Adsense thinking that it's going to make you rich. As a matter of fact, building an Adsense site that generates a huge profit is not an easy job. There are many aspects that go into building a money making Adsense site.

First of all, you need to know how Google Adsense works. Individuals like you and me, or even companies, can use Google to advertise their products. The program where you can create your ads is called Google Adwords. Since there are many people creating ads using this system, Google needs help from others to put their ads on their sites. This is the reason why they created Google Adsense.

The main problem with this great program is that a website owner does not get paid simply by placing the ad on his page. He needs visitors to click on the ads in order for him to make money. There are many techniques and key factors that help optimizing your page to get the maximum click through rate.

First, you need to build your website around high paying keywords; these are used by advertisers to create their ads. Believe me, if you search the net to find high paying keywords you'll stumble into lots of scam and very expensive informational marketing products that claim to have lists or softwares that give you that kind of information. Thankfully, there are some softwares which actually work and are updated in real time.

The second key factor to your success is to build your site around the ads in such a way where they should get the maximum click through rate. There are many courses and books published about this kind or technique. I found videos to be the best recourses for this kind of information.

The third and last but not least key factor is to have as much Traffic as you can get to your website. This is done in many different ways. First you can submit your sites url to the search engines such as Yahoo and Google, the problem with this technique though is that it might take months for your site to be listed, and even then who knows where it would show up when people search for its keywords. For example, it might show up in the 100th page, this is why I personally don't recommend doing this because it's a waste of time.

Second, which is a must do is to do like what I'm doing here and write an article and submit it to article directory sites such as Ezinearticles.com, Goarticles.com, & Searchwarp. What you need to do here is to place your sites url in the article so after it is published people can see it and click on the link to go to your page.

Finally, you can increase traffic by using SEO, search engine optimization, softwares that are designed specifically for this kind of task. You just plug in your sites url into the program and let it do the rest.

I hope this helps many of you struggling with Google Adsense to be able to maximize your profits in a very short period of time.

John's website will show you how to grow your google adsense empire. Please visit the site for more information on google adsense

The AdSense tips below will help you move closer to the former group by gaining some important knowledge.
Affordable Marketing
One problem some people run into is they can't afford the costs for high-volume search terms so they never get enough traffic to their site and their AdSense income remains relatively low. The good news is there is a way around this problem.for more details www.thegoogleincome.com.First, you have to focus on building some great content around more affordable search terms, perhaps choose words that are synonymous with the more expensive terms. Now here's an example of great AdSense tips: as you know you earn more from the AdSense ads associated with higher value terms. So add a link to the bottom of the more affordable terms' pages that leads readers directly to the higher cost term's page. That way you can drive traffic to your content more affordable but also boost your chances of getting the better commissions.
Add Images
If you like the above AdSense tips, here's another good one: use graphics near your ads. You know that when you visit a site your ads are drawn towards the images and graphics. That means if you place something like this on your page near the location of your ad visitors' attention will be drawn to the ad and that will increase the chances they will click on it. Now do be careful about adding in too many images on your page because this could reduce load times and actually drive visitors away altogether.

That's because you'd be surprised at how big of a difference can be made in the results when an ad is moved from near the top to near the bottom or vice versa, for example. You could try changing the colors, removing the borders, incorporating the ad into content, and other alterations that could positively impact the performance of the ad. Tracking can also help you decide whether or not to adjust your own keywords in hopes of getting more relevant ads which will be a bigger hit with site visitors.

Google Adsense - Money Does Grow On Trees

There are tales of fabulous riches to be made and millions made by those who are just working from home. It seems that Google Adsense have already dominated the internet marketing business and is now considered the easiest way to making money online. The key to success with Adsense is the placing of ads on pages that are receiving high traffic for high demand keywords. When learned to work effectively, these two factors are actually a good source of
producing a minimal amount of revenue from a high traffic page. The one particularly handy money-making feature that is available with Adsense now is the ability to filter out up to 200 url's. These gives webmasters the option to block out low value offers from their pages as well as competitors to their websites. Talk about taking only those that are advantageous and discarding the ones that seem 'useless '. There is also talk about Google changing or even discontinuing Adsense but it is doubtful. Webmasters generally create higher quality content pages with good themes targeted to the visitor's interest so their adsense revenue is maximized. Overall, adsense has increased the quality of web page content.
